I recently watched Fantasia for the first time in like ten years. It's so funny when you realise that you're now appreciating things differently because you're older.
Oh and I was finally able to watch the last sequence. Chernabog used to scare the crap out of me when I was kid, so much that I could never get to the end of the tape! Now that I'm brave enough to watch it (just barely haha), I can say that I actually like it ^_^ Even though it's not my favourite, The Pastoral Symphony is such an amazing sequence. The colors, the elegance, the fact that they're all happy doing absolutely nothing... It's what heaven should be like x) Anyway, after watching it, I just felt like drawing these pretty ladies. I was trying to get Fred Moore's smooth and elegant feel to the girls. And after failing miserably at it, I figured "oh what the hell, I'm gonna keep drawing them anyway". So here it is! Banana peels! They are evil incarnate! I know what they’re planning. Those vicious yellow peels! You could just be walking along, minding your own business and then...BAM...you’re on your back out cold. Good for nothing #$%#!!!
But colouring and putting them all together is always the hardest part for me

AGH you're so good, and you drew it all so fast! You managed to capture the style of the artist while tilting it towards your own, and I think it's a fantastic result.
My favorite of yours is the second one down on the left, the green one with the pink hair. Although my favorite in Fantasia is the sulty blue one that throws the rose so the guy can pick it up for her. n___n;

It's funny you should like the second one down on the left, cause I actually based her on the blue one you're mentioning xD The hair, especially. I love how she handles her looong tail in the movie. It looks so cool
